neutral eye makeup looks for weddings

I have gathered some ideas for neutral looking eye shadow and eye makeup looks. These would work for a wedding makeup look or even a night out on the town, or a more dramatic day look. The key in executing any good eye shadow application is to have good brushes. It is worth the investment, because washed with a little shampoo in between uses, they will last a life time. I personally work with MAC brushes: the little angled brush and the white fluffy blending brushes are among my favorites.

Hairstyles for weddings - low updos, chignons, romantic bridal hairstyles

Hello again! I have been on the hunt for new hairstyle inspirations, as I am sure some of you have as well. A bride has many decisions to make in the wedding planning process, and choosing a suitable hairstyle is one of them. You want to keep the style and theme of you wedding in mind, and the style of your wedding dress and venue. Is it casual or formal? What type of weather will it be? What type of hair texture do you have?

I am sharing some pictures of low up dos, chignons, wedding hair accessories, and bridal hairstyles

I love the large flower in this one!!!
The tighter and smoother the style, the more formal it looks, the larger curls are a little fun, And the accessory you choose will add all the pop!
Here is a really great step by step high bun style with a braid that is super cute!
Notice how much the hairstyle changes based on the change in the hair accessory used !!! This on is looser, with a romantic feel.

Romantic and modern wedding dress ideas

I was browsing through brides magazine on brides.com as well as pinterest.com and I was specifically looking around for some non-traditional wedding dresses. I like the current trend of some color and lots of embellishments and soft details. While I can't really get on board with the idea of a black or red wedding dress, I do love the idea of a soft pink or blush, or perhaps a soft blue.

Here are some inspirations I came up with.

Indian wedding events makeup and hair styles

This was my indian Gujrati bride, Ankita, on her way to her wedding reception. She wanted a bold blue peacock eye color and we kept the rest of her face nude. As you can see, we managed to match all the shades of blue perfectly!

Here she is for some prayer ceremonies at the Hindu Cultural Center. We only had 30 minutes to do this MAC makeup look, and I think Ankita looks radiant! The whole day was spent in preparation for the wedding ceremony that next morning.

This indian wedding makeup look was inspired by the sari my bride is wearing. This was for a prayer ceremony that involves rubbing piti, a yellow tumeric based paste on the brides face to force her to really exfoliate her skin and have a bridal glow!
Some of the colors we used on her eyes were MAC Old Gold Pigment, Undercurrent eyeliner, Coppering in the crease and Rice paper along the brow line to highlight that area.
